Liz Earle Superskin Eye Cream

Liz Earle Superskin Eye Cream

I was so excited to try this eye cream and I got it about 2 weeks ago now and started using it straight away. It hasn’t disappointed!

It’s such a lovey texture, and smells nice too. Not sure it’s meant to but it just has a smell, which definitely isn’t unpleasant. I noticed after the second day of using this morning and night that under my eyes were really hydrated. As I said before I never really stick to an eye cream but as I’ve noticed a difference I never skip the step now.

After a week I noticed my concealer doesn’t crease up and the little lines I had just under my eyes have disappeared.

It’s £35 which did put me off buying it, however, Liz Earle’s website do monthly deals and I managed to get the eye cream when I bought the “routine” so definitely got a lot for my money this month.

If you are on the market for an eye cream, this is certainly a good one to add to the list to try. I love it and I will most definitely be repurchasing once it runs out.

Zoella Bath Latte

Zoella Bath Latte

When Zoe released her new products there was one in particular I needed… The Bath Latte. I’m not going to lie and say the packaging totally got me.. I needed it.. It’s cute… Was kinda hoping it would be glass.. Although totally aware that wouldn’t be very practical haha.

Anyway I went to buy it online.. Sold out.. Went into a couple of Superdrugs and none left or wasn’t in yet. Then I went into my local one again and there it was… With a light around it calling me over to it! I picked it up and my first thought was.. Oh it’s not glass even though I knew it wouldn’t be. I smelt the other products in the range and went straight to check out… Whilst walking past the Sleek counter obvs…

I was running a bath and popped some in.. Half the bottle… Oops… Well the bubbles… The smell… Everything! I felt like I was bathing in a box of chocolates… (Everyone’s dream right?) the bubbles lasted AGES… And my bath time is like a proper thing.. I don’t just dip in for 5 mins and get out I’m in for the long haul… Talking prune territory!

My skin felt so soft after… And the smell lingered… I didn’t feel the need to moisturise either… Winning.

Definitely grab this if you see it, well worth it.

St Moriz Gradual Tan

St Moriz Gradual Tan

I know I know I’m probably a bit late to jump on this band wagon but oh my… I didn’t think it could get any better than the fast tan by St Moriz but now I can apply a moisturiser every day (and a bloody good one at that) it doesn’t smell iffy, doesn’t have that horrible feeling like some… Going back to the Johnsons one back in the day! Me and my friend used to smother ourselves in it.. More orange the better back then haha.

Now though I prefer a more golden take on a tan. This gradual tan is amazing for in between tanning, really does give a little something something to the skin tone. I’ve been called translucent before now… Lol! I feel I look a lot healthier with a tan though and I really have gone off sunbeds due to the risks of them. I do have them occasionally though.

I highly recommend this gradual tan/moisturiser. My skin is smooth (no dry patches at all!!) and a nice colour!

Decluttering My MakeUp

Decluttering My MakeUp

After posting my make up storage I was messaged quite a bit on how I achieved my minimal make up storage, especially from having so much before.

I was literally bogged down with make up, more make up than I would ever of been able to use. I wish I kept a picture of what it looked like before. As mentioned in my make up storage post I had 12 MAC lipsticks, every eyeshadow palette going and so many mascaras and foundations it was insane.

First thing I did was I got it all out, I laid a couple of towels on my bed and emptied EVERYTHING on my bed. I went through and put in the bin anything out of date, sniffed it, checked colour pigment etc.

Then I went through and put aside what I use every single day, and then another pile for what I use occasionally… (Before putting the make up away I cleaned everything with baby wipes) And then made another pile with what I never use… That was a big pile. I decided to either give some bits to my mum, what I thought she would like. Then what my friends would like and what I would like to sell. Like my Urban Decay Naked 2 and 3 palettes. The first Naked palette is my favourite and the one I went for every day… And for special occasions. I had some Sleek palettes, Make Up Rev and a few more. I never used them so gave them away.

With lips, I decided on an every day lip colour, an Autumn/Winter and a Spring/Summer shade… And to be honest I rarely even wear lip colour anyway haha.

With foundations, I kept an every day foundation and a special occasion foundation. Concealers were a bit different as they can do different things which is why I still have a few of them.

In my opinion having a decluttered make up has made me enjoy putting my make up on even more now, I felt like I had so much stuff before but now it’s so clean and tidy I love it. I have found products I love and are my holy grails and it stops me buying another bronzer I don’t need or another mascara I’m not sure on – and saves money.

I would love to know any tips you have on decluttering, so please let me know.

Well I got my Zen on Thursday evening at a meditation class in Hove… It wasn’t how I imagined it to be. Whenever I think about a meditation class I vision people sitting crossed legged on mats, a blue tinted dark room, music playing and alot of ohm’ing. Well none of that happened and I really liked it.

The room was well lit with chairs lined up facing towards a shrine cabinet. A lovely man who was running the meditation sat in front of us all and spoke into a microphone. He started us off with a breathing meditation which really helped to relax me, then he spoke about how meditation works and is beneficial.

I learnt that the mind isn’t just in your head it’s everywhere. Which has really changed my perspective on things as whenever I felt anxious or worried I would constantly say ‘my silly brain’ which isn’t very helpful.

Last night was my first class and I will definitely be going back next week… So I’ll keep you all updated 🙂

Make Up Storage

Make Up Storage

If I had done this a year ago I would of had to do it over 2 posts at least haha.

I only have what I use now and I like that, I’ve gone from having 8 draws of Muji full of make up to 2 draws of make up and using the other 2 draws for jewellery and contact lenses… I have a one in one out policy now so I don’t waste money. Works sometimes but not always haha.

On the top of my Muji draws I have a little mirror which I thought was so cute! And these little pink brush holders to hold my brushes… One with bigger (face) brushes and the other with smaller and eye brushes… (Yes I really do need that many).

In the top draw I have my concealers, foundations, primer, bronzer and highlighter. I only have one bronzer and highlighter because these are my absolute favourites! I am using the YSL foundation up as its a bit too dewy for me, and I only use my MAC ones on special occasions. The Healthy Mix foundation is the best in my opinion.

Second draw down, I have my lonely eyeshadow palette, 3 single eye shadows which are in the palette but I use them the most, my NARS Deep Throat blusher and my two favourite Benefit ones. My 3 MAC lipsticks (I used to have 12 of these bad boys…) on the right hand side are just some eyeliners.. And a lipgloss.

So as you can see it’s a very modest stash, but I can honestly say I use everything I have now 🙂
