Coconut Oil – Is it amazing?

The craze of the coconut is seen everywhere.. Everyone has spoken about it, everyone has used it for something.. Cooking with it, wearing it, smelling like it, mixing it with some random food item and putting it on their face, you name it, I’ve seen it.

But this is what I use coconut for, and it’s pretty much what most people use it for if I’m being honest. But I won’t be without a jar and I must be on my third jar already this year. I don’t use it to cook with, my jar stays in my draw for when I want a coconut pamper up haha.

If I’m having one of those days, I will always get my jar out..grab a dollop of hard oil and massage it into my face and remove my make up with it. It leaves a nice layer, then I put another thin layer on and leave for half hour or so.

Usually I will then grab a big enough bit and massage it into my hair, the ends, the midlengths and then give my scalp a little loving with it. I always have to make sure I double shampoo on these days. But I will pop my oil covered hair in a bun and relax for a bit. Read a magazine, or in reality do the hoovering or something lol.

Once I’ve had a shower to wash the oil out and off my face I will use the oil to massage into my knees and elbows. It’s really nice for under the arms and legs post shave too and any dry patches anywhere. My most favourite thing to do with coconut oil though is to massage a little bit into my cuticles and my feet! Pop some socks on and by morning I’ve got feet so soft!

If you haven’t tried the wonders of the jar of coconut oil I highly recommend it.

Let me know what else you use coconut oil for 🙂 X

    1. Will definitely visit your blog as soon as I’ve hit reply on this lol.
I’ve heard of people doing that, I don’t think I could cope with the oily in my mouth though haha.
Don’t you like the smell of coconuts then? Can see it being quite hard to use not liking the smell! It’s rather strong xxxxxx

      1. Hahahahahah…I don’t like it because I have been using it since childhood and I have become so used to it that, now, I really don’t want to smell it. Law of diminishing utility. I guess! 😀

  1. Coconut oil has indeed some amazing benefits and is the most used oil here in India.. It’s great for hair and skin.. I love to mix it with ground coffee and sugar and use it as my coffee scrub – It acts as great body polish.. Apart from coconut oil, I’ve been loving Jojoba oil a lot.. If you’re interested to know more about Jojoba oil , do check out my night time skin care routine..
