No surprise I know but I love Skincare… I love it so much I would trade in my whole collection of make up for a skincare routine. My routine hasn’t changed that much but a few of the products I am using are more ideal for the colder months.
Shocking… but I have been using the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish (bet you weren’t expecting me to say that haha) this is just the ideal cleanser for all year round, morning and night. It removes make up like an absolute boss and also refreshes in the morning. I massage this into dry skin and remove with a hot damp face cloth. I have also been using the Soap and Glory Clarity cleanser again as my second cleanse and switching between this and C&P in the AM.. but a review on that soon.
For my acid toner I have been using the Nip and Fab Extreme pads, I use these in the morning and evening, I have noticed the texture of my skin improve so much since adding these. To hydrate my skin after the acid, the Hungarian mist by Omorovicza has been incredible, it smells amazing but most importantly it hydrates my skin amazingly, the bottle though is what I love. It’s a gorgeous mist instead of a massive squirt in the face.
It being colder I notice the skin around my eyes gets a lot drier so skipping an eye cream this time of year is definitely a no no, this one from Time Delay Boots is pretty great if I am honest, for £5 it is one to try. The little lines around my eyes are less noticeable too.. bonus!
In the mornings I use a serum and the Boots Time Delay one is so lovely, its not tacky or heavy. In the evenings though it is all about the oils, this one from Botanicals surprised me, it isn’t greasy like a normal oil, it is more like water but wow it hydrates and plumps the skin I really love the bottle too just really nice to use.
The final step is moisturiser and the Liz Earle moisturiser will forever be a firm favourite, it is more like a balm and a little goes a long way, perfect base for make up and keeps my skin hydrated all day. I pop on some Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream and I’m ready to rumble… or sleep… usually sleep.
I do a scrub once a week and been loving this Frank coffee scrub! It smells divine and makes my skin so smooth, especially if I use the Lavender Elemis afterwards.
The main skin care tip for this time of year though is drink loads, I preach this so much to clients and if I am honest I really struggle to listen to my own advice haha. But water really is the best thing you can do for your skin.
