Top 5 Christmassy Films

This is going to be one of those really cliche posts but I love love LOVE Christmas films and thought why not do a post all about the ones I love?!

These are a few of my favourites and I am sure everyone has heard of them…

1. Elf… I love everything about this film, it’s funny… and a little bit sad if I’m honest… and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. I still can’t imagine Buddy having a baby.. he seems too innocent to be getting jiggy haha.

2. Polar Express… I hadn’t seen this film until this year and it’s one of my favourites already, Jake loves it too which makes me love it even more. Also the little boy that doesn’t get Christmas usually… totes made me cry. I have this recorded on my Virgin Box but really want the dvd!

3. Frozen… I know this isn’t really a Christmas film but it makes me feel so festive. I love snuggling up with Jake and James on the sofa and giggling away. Olaf is a little cutie!

4. The Holiday… Jude Law… does anyone watch this film for any other reason? I mean he’s such a babe and so sweet. The film gives me such feels!

5. Bridget Jones… the first one. The one film that literally makes me belly laugh so much. I have some lovely memories of seeing this film at the cinema (yes I’m that old!) I pop it on whenever I feel like I need a giggle. It also gives me the bug to start journaling and narrating my life! I don’t because that’s weird…

What is your all time favourite Christmas film? I would love to know so I can watch them! XO

Festive Make Up

I thought I would share with you the make up I will be wearing on Christmas Day! I am so excited for this Christmas. My parents are coming here this year and it’ll be the first time we have spent the WHOLE day at home. Which will be amazing as won’t have to drag all of Jakes presents out. Woohoo.

Christmas Day starts off with me staying in my Christmas pjs and opening presents with my boys and family, we then go get ready for the day before breakfast. I always like to wear a Christmas jumper or a nice dress so it’s only normal I want my face to look semi human in case of photos etc.

Although it’s not over the top it’s more than normal for me…

The Ordinary Coverage foundation. I love this foundation so much. It covers what I need it to and doesn’t feel heavy or cakey. Healthy mix by Bourjois concealer on my bags and spots… and blend that in with my RT buffing brush.

As standard my Nars Laguna goes on my cheek bones and temples and under my chin.. and some Benetint on my cheekbones and lips. You know.. for that healthy look haha.

I have been loving this Ardell Brow Promade in Blonde. It’s so super to use and a perfect shade for me. I will be using my Urban Decay Naked palette this year… with Naked and Buck in the crease with Half Baked on my lid and lower lash line. With L’Oreal babydoll mascara…. seriously still obsessed with this mascara.

To finish my face off I will be using the Benefit Benebalm, it’s such a perfect colour and not over the top for me. I am not brave enough for a full on red lip so this balm is perfect for me! Festive but still in my comfort zone!

Once all done I will spritz my face with the Urban Decay setting spray (which is incredible FYI)

What are you staple festive make up looks? XO

My Favourite Christmas Jumpers

I did share some of my Christmas jumpers last year but these are this years favourites… yes some same as last year but whatevs…. I love a Christmas jumper and if I’m honest I would wear one all year round, or perhaps a Christmas dress in summer because it’s hot but you get the idea… I love them.

Anywho here they are….

Some of these I’ve had for year and some are new additions!! My favourite has to be the Avocado one which is from H&M, I have loved avocados forever… even before they were “cool” shocking huh?

I would love to have some more Christmas jumpers, where is your favourite place to buy them? XO

My Festive Nails

When it comes to nails I like to go with the season so Spring is light pinks and corals, Summer is all about bright colours, especially pinks! Autumn and Winter are all about Berry and red shades. However, now it is December I feel it is only appropriate to crack out the glitter. Now a little disclaimer I will wear glitter all year round but right now… it’s ok to step the glitter game up which is why I went for a red glitter.

I prepped my nails and I decided to file them down. Start fresh and grow them. As I do other people’s nails as my job now, my nails tend to get a beating which is why I like to use Gel on my nails now. So much harder wearing and lasts so well.

I went for this shade call Morchino Cherry which is a lovely dark ish red. I then popped on top this red glitter called Meteor.. now isn’t this beautiful?? I’ve been obsessed since I bought it and been dying to use it. I love my gold and silver glitter but this red just screams “Santa come at me bitch!”

Once I did my nails I did cuticle oil and hand cream. I use these on my clients and always get asked what the hand cream is. It smells incredible!

Wish the red glitter showed more in the photo! It really is lush!

What are your go to festive nail favourites? XO
